Dianna Woomer, RN, Surgical Department, is the Clay County Hospital Employee of the Month for July 2012. She was nominated for going the extra mile and taking care a family in need of a shoulder to lean on during a crisis. She handled the situation in a proactive and professional manner, never leaving their side. "I want to stress this is not Dianna's ‘job’. She was passing by, noticed a family in need, and took this role on without being asked to do so. I watched Dianna be a 'rock' for a grieving family and was so proud to have a nurse working in this facility who cared so much," says the employee that nominated Dianna.

Dianna began working at CCH in 1978 as a Nurse's Aide. She became and RN in 1985. After her son was born she took a short break, but came back in 1988, and has worked here since that time.

She and her husband, Melvin, have two children, Misty Hubble and Adam Woomer. They also have three grandsons, Brenden, Brayden, and Braxden.
